You meant it when you told the recent college graduates you hired that you were committed to their growth as people, not just employees- now prove it on the cheap.

Snacks and a Foosball table won’t do anything for them when they need it most.

Make a shrewd forward thinking investment in your newly acquired emergent human capital by giving them some people to talk to that they don’t work with who care about them. It’s a lot cheaper than hiring their replacement or cleaning up their messes down the line- and it might actually do them some genuine good.

Traversegroups will give your young hires access to a supportive group of peers at the same phase of life, a licensed mental health professional skilled at running groups and the space they crucially need to reflect on their lives and express themselves. They will be more productive employees and better human beings. If they don’t have the opportunity to directly and productively express and work through their personal and interpersonal difficulties, those difficulties will express themselves counterproductively in their work. Seems like an easy choice.
